LAN CARGO ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF CARGO ESSENCE AS THEIR GENERAL SALES AGENT (GSA) IN THE STATES OF WA, OR, UT, NV, AND AZ.

MIAMI, FL --- January 5, 2013 ---LAN Cargo is pleased to announce the appointment of Cargo Essence, Inc. as its new General Sales Agent (GSA) for the sales territories of Washington, Oregon, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. The appointment became effective on January 1, 2013.

“This appointment will greatly enhance our presence in those regions and will ensure that we build a closer and more effective cooperation and business relationship with freight forwarders in those areas”, said Fernando Garreton, Regional Director, GSAs North America for the airline. “Cargo Essence is a productive sales resource for LAN Cargo. They have been our GSA in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, and Louisiana, and as such they have in-depth knowledge of our network, operations, and products. They have an excellent record of service delivery, and we are very pleased with this expansion of their sales coverage on behalf of LAN Cargo”, he continued.

The owner and president of Cargo Essence is Claudio A. Silva, a former Vice President of Sales and Marketing for LAN Cargo in North America. Mr. Silva served as a senior executive for the airline for almost 30 years. “I am extremely proud of our association and expansion of responsibilities for LAN Cargo”, he said. “Our staff has many years of experience with the airline, have a high level of expertise with the network, are extremely responsive to customer needs, and I am confident that our expanded role will ensure that LAN Cargo’s presence and service delivery in the new sales region is of top quality”, he added. “Cargo Essence will have a dedicated sales representative based in Seattle, WA.
